Welcome,
My name is Evi Halkia. I was born in Boston, USA and lived there for several years until I settled with my family permanently in Greece. I started my studies at the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences at the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. However, I did not complete my studies there, because along the way I realized that this was not my path.
I worked as a journalist but still came to the same conclusion. Journalism did not cover a large part of my inner pursuits. So I continued the search. I have attended orthophony and vocal classes at the National Conservatory, classical and contemporary music.
The duration of my practice includes the following parts. The Asanas (the positions-postures of yoga) the technical part, adapted to everyone’s needs. The breaths, which I consider a necessary part for balancing the entire practice, during the positions and as breathing techniques for better internal balance. Our connection with breathing and observing it is very important.
“We live more time in our thoughts and not in the present and our bodies.”
